Hempel is a global supplier of paint taking part in industry trade fairs worldwide. As an experienced exhibitor, Hempel is aware of how difficult it is to engage with potential customers at trade fair stands.

Challenge

The processes to develop an application that meets quality standards are not simple, but that does not stop Leaware from creating digital products. The need to create a virtual game or fun application to attract customers to the company’s stand during trade fairs.

Researching customers’ emotions when assessing the company’s portfolio. Facial recognition is an opportunity to recognize customer interest.

The application, based on AI algorithms, engages potential clients through face detection and analysis. The solution shows the estimated age, sex, and emotions of a person. It is

This project was extremely beneficial for Leaware in many aspects, and many more that the product achieved for users:


• Detects the face of the client and encourages them to interact.
• It shows the potential age, sex, and information about the person’s emotions.
• Generates data for analysis.
• Ability to assign a label or name for each detected person.
• Gives an ID for each detected face.
• Shows the number of all detected faces.
• Shows the number of unique faces detected.
• Shows the number of people aged 0 to 15, 16-19, 20-29, 30,39, 40-49, and 50+.
• Shows the number of times a given face has been detected.
• Shows the time a face was first and last detected.
• Shows the likelihood of the user experiencing a particular emotion.

Results

-We at Leaware are pleased to know that the app was a success and 2,000+ people were attracted to the Hempel stand.


-The app successfully recorded the facial expressions of curious passersby. The data on age, emotions, and gender can be used in future projects.
