At Leaware we have vast experience in the development of monetary type applications. Swave is a customer card and an individual loyalty card for local merchants. It helps local governments and retailers boost local consumption on one platform.


Consumers automatically save money while spending at participating retailers. Customers save money by receiving cashback (money paid back into their account) or points (to exchange for rewards or vouchers).

Challenge

No digital product development is easy. We at Leaware had a few challenges while managing the creation of this app:


• Creating an app that enables people to save money and receive rewards when paying cashless.
• After integrating the app with bank accounts, finding a clear model to track and identify transactional data from different banks.
• Locating a tech partner for app development.

After detailed research on user needs, our team at Leaware managed to develop an application that securely links it to their bank account, the customer is ready to start earning rewards. Payments made locally are tracked and rewards are gathered. For retailers, it is a way to say thank you for the customer’s loyalty.

Results

The implications of what we have achieved are many, after launching the mobile app, a web version is planned. Swave received funding from a WinWinner campaign to accelerate their growth in ten Flemish cities.
