Trooper is a startup that appeared on the market in 2016. They partner up with online shops and with non-profit organizations to enable users to support them by making purchases through the Trooper app.

Trooper’s founders launched the prototype version of the website using WordPress. Initially, Trooper had five non-for-profit companies registered. Founders of the platform knew that the concept was great, but they had amateur technical solutions, no experience, and did not have the tools to make it successful.

Challenge

Before Leaware’s involvement, Trooper’s team couldn’t manage their platform. There was a lot of maintenance work to be done. In addition to this, a poor technological solution prevented the platform from functioning well.

The scalability of the platform was the main challenge as adding new associations and partners required a lot of work.

• To build a well-functioning platform enabling online shopping and providing funding to charities.
• To scale the platform and encourage more online shops to register.

Trooper is a huge success because they have understood their customers’ problems and have used appropriate technological solutions and with the help of the Leaware team, an application with a good purpose was created. Despite the limited budget, within just three weeks Leaware provided Trooper with the first version of a working solution. As a result, it was possible to assess the scalability of the business and move on with the development of the project.

• 1,000 online shops in cooperation.
• The app has 500,000 users.
• The value of purchases made by Trooper in 2020 amounts to €45.5 million.
• €1.2 million have been donated to associations and charities in 2020.
