Meet the Client
Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago is renowned for its interactive, hands-on exhibits that cater to children from birth to age eight. The museum’s programs align with the Illinois State Learning Standards and aim to spark imagination and curiosity among young learners. They welcome an average of 300,000 visitors each year, with approximately 6,000 member families.

At Leaware, we have a long history of creating applications that enhance digital experiences. The ATM Bankomat project allowed us to leverage our creative expertise and technical capabilities to develop an entertaining application for the Kohl Children’s Museum of Greater Chicago, a leading educational institution. The museum wanted an engaging, hands-on digital experience that aligned with their vision of nurturing a love for learning in children.
Challenge
The museum was seeking a unique, engaging application that would not only entertain children but also align with their mission of sparking curiosity and exploration. They wanted a creative and fun way to integrate digital interaction into their visitors‘ experience.
Solution
We developed ATM Bankomat, a unique app that allows users to take a photo and place it on a virtual bill. Utilizing Xamarin technology, we created an application that is interactive, user-friendly, and, most importantly, fun for children.

Results
Though the exact download numbers are undisclosed, the application has been well-received, with positive feedback from the museum’s visitors. The application has enhanced the overall visitor experience at the museum, providing an engaging and entertaining interactive digital exhibit.
