Business context

Copilot is a Belgian company that helps startups build scalable, repeatable growth. With expertise in B2B demand generation, it supports businesses in refining their messaging, validating their value proposition, and selecting the most effective customer acquisition channels.

In 2014, the Copilot team recognised that in an increasingly digital sales environment, sales representatives struggled to access up-to-date product materials quickly and share them efficiently during meetings. Dispersed documents and slow access to content reduced the pace of conversations and made it harder to present the value of the offer consistently.

The goal was to modernise the sales management process through a mobile tool that would make it easier to engage prospects, speed up content presentation, and enable seamless feeding of meeting data into CRM.


Challenge

The main challenge was to create an intuitive application that would allow sales representatives to “carry” a complete digital folder of materials — from product sheets to case studies — and search, display, and share them with prospects instantly. The interface had to support quick, natural gestures and enable a consistent sales narrative throughout the meeting.

Equally important was frictionless capture of prospect data during conversations and linking it with the existing CRM system. This required simple forms, information quality control, and data security, so that the process would not slow down work in the field.

The application had to operate reliably in conditions of limited connectivity, with a minimal learning curve for users and support for multiple platforms. It was essential to combine ease of use with performance, as well as straightforward content distribution and updates.


Solution

Leaware designed and built the Copilot application — a mobile tool that provides instant access to an organised library of materials. Sales representatives can use a single gesture to find and present product documents, reports, or references, and then easily share them with the prospect while maintaining the flow of the conversation.

The application also enables simultaneous collection of key information about prospects. The collected data is synchronised with CRM, which improves further lead handling and ensures a consistent view of interactions throughout the sales process. The solution supports offline work and automatically updates data once the connection is restored.

From a technology perspective, the project was built on Xamarin, which enabled fast delivery of the application across multiple platforms from a single codebase while maintaining native performance. The architecture includes secure content storage and remote version management, ensuring that sales representatives always work with up-to-date materials.
