Partner Connect: fast and accurate feedback collection

Business context

Every year, Microsoft organises Partner Connect, bringing together its global partner ecosystem around the company’s products and services. To better understand participants’ areas of interest and plan follow-up activities more effectively, an application was needed to collect structured data on preferences and feedback during the event.

The goal was to create a reliable, high-performance mobile solution that would enable rapid collection of information directly from participants and turn it into personalised post-sales outreach and insights for further product development.

Challenge

The biggest challenge was designing a simple, intuitive survey process that could capture partners’ interests in real time during a busy event. The interface had to minimise the number of steps and make it easy to rate multiple topics quickly.

Intelligent follow-up question logic was required: for topics rated higher than 3, additional questions had to be asked, and when no item exceeded that threshold, the application was expected to move on to the highest-rated area. The entire solution had to operate reliably and without delays under heavy load.

Solution

Leaware built the Microsoft Partner Connect application using Xamarin and Azure Mobile Services. The solution enables participants to quickly select areas of interest, rate them, and answer follow-up questions.

The built-in conditional logic automatically adjusts the survey path: if a user rates a topic above 3, additional questions appear; when no rating exceeds that threshold, the system directs questions to the highest-rated topic. As a result, each participant receives a personalised experience, while the Microsoft team receives higher-quality data.

Azure Mobile Services ensures secure, centralised data collection and fast access to data for analysis. A simple, refined UX and a high-performance backend layer deliver strong application responsiveness during large-scale events.
