Quasar: multi-platform motor insurance services
Business context
A Polish organisation in the motor insurance sector faced the challenge of accelerating its digital transformation and improving customer service quality. Expectations around self-service, mobility and instant access to policy information and claims reporting were growing.
In response, the goal was defined as creating one cohesive application operating across multiple platforms. The solution was intended to simplify key insurance processes and provide an identical experience regardless of the device: browser, desktop application or mobile app.
Challenge
The biggest challenge was to design and build a solution that works on iOS, Android, Windows and macOS, as well as in the browser, without compromise. It was essential to maintain a consistent, intuitive interface and navigation across different usage contexts while ensuring high performance and stability.
An additional layer of complexity was the integration of distributed insurance processes into one place. This required a well-thought-out architecture, component reuse and a consistent design language in order to reduce complexity for the user and simplify maintenance of a single codebase.
Solution
Leaware developed the Quasar application, combining the Xamarin approach with the Vue ecosystem to deliver a unified experience across web, desktop and mobile. A single codebase and shared UI components ensured consistency in both functionality and appearance, regardless of the target platform.
Quasar gives users access to key car insurance functions on every device: iOS, Android, Windows and macOS. Processes related to policy and case handling were brought together in a single interface, reducing task completion time and minimising the number of customer touchpoints.
The solution was well received by users, and its multi-platform nature increased the convenience and flexibility of using insurance services. Although no hard numerical results were disclosed, improvements in operational efficiency and customer satisfaction were observed thanks to the consistent, universal experience.
