STULZ – sales accelerated with a single application
Business context
STULZ, a family-owned company from Hamburg and a global leader in air conditioning technology for data centres and mission-critical applications, operates in more than 150 countries. Its distributed sales team needed a tool that would bring together key information and functions supporting the work of field sales representatives in one place.
After more than 50 years of product development and international expansion, the existing support for sales processes proved insufficient. The company was looking for a modern mobile application that would simplify quote preparation, standardise access to the product catalogue, and speed up technical and pricing calculations.
STULZ decided to create a dedicated Android solution with scalability and rapid deployment across multiple countries in mind. Leaware was invited to deliver the project due to its experience in building tailored applications that support sales.
Challenge
The greatest challenge was combining multiple critical functions into one intuitive tool: product calculators, a product catalogue, price lists, and support for preparing quotations. Everything had to run smoothly on mobile devices and provide fast access to data during client meetings.
An additional layer of complexity came from the diverse user profiles — from field sales representatives and support engineers to managers. The application had to offer role-specific features, with flexible permission management and a personalised user experience, so that each user would see only the modules and data they genuinely need.
A consistent, standardised working environment was also required to replace fragmented tools and materials. The key was to reduce complexity on the user side while maintaining the application's broad range of capabilities.
Solution
Using Xamarin technology, Leaware built STULZ Mobile Sale — a comprehensive Android application that consolidates sales support in one place. Users gain quick access to calculators, the product catalogue, price lists, and customer information, significantly reducing quotation preparation time and making sales conversations easier.
The central element of the solution was role-based personalisation. The application adapts its features, data scope, and available modules to the user's profile, ensuring a clear interface and efficient work without the burden of unnecessary options.
The result is a unified sales support platform that integrates key tools within a single ecosystem. The STULZ team appreciated the application's intuitiveness and its impact on the speed and efficiency of the sales process, confirming the effectiveness of an approach based on personalisation and ease of use.
