Our primary objective was to demonstrate our ability to refine and develop an innovative mobile application that enhances event organization and ticket sales.
Meet the Client
Floud is a Finnish startup launched in 2017 with a focus on optimizing event organization. The founders sought to create an app that would merge event promotion with a mobile ticket sales channel. They came to us with an existing app, needing expert support to introduce necessary modifications and implement their vision effectively.

The founders of Floud envisioned a product that would disrupt traditional event organization and ticketing. They sought to establish a mobile-first ticket office, creating a platform that could not only sell tickets but also serve as an engaging promotion tool.
Challenge
The challenge was to transform Floud into an application that served as a comprehensive platform for event discovery, organization, and ticket purchase. We were tasked with enabling users to see where their friends are going, organize their events, and purchase tickets all in one place.
Solution
At Leaware, we embraced the challenge of developing an application like Floud. The revamped app allows users to see who else has purchased tickets and how many of their phone contacts will attend the event. Tickets bought from Floud are sent directly to the user’s mobile phone, and if a user buys tickets for friends, those tickets are sent to their Floud app, or via SMS if they do not have the app. Event organizers can also easily set up an event, with no subscription fees.

The Floud app provides several key benefits to its users:

Results
Through dedicated teamwork, the Floud app was successfully launched in May 2017 and is available on both Android and iOS platforms. Since its release, the app has been used to sell thousands of tickets for hundreds of events.

Lessons Learnt
Through the development of the Floud app, we learned valuable lessons about integrating various functionalities in app development, particularly in the events and ticketing industry. The project reinforced our understanding that user experience, seamless integration of features, and creating value for both event organizers and attendees are paramount in today’s tech-centric world.
