Objective

The objective of this case study is to demonstrate the expertise of Leaware in developing a robust, responsive and highly efficient intranet application for reporting, assigning, and updating technical issues. 

Meet the Client

Coop Norden is a prominent Scandinavian retail chain based in Sweden. Coop Norden was the owner of approximately 1,000 stores and had a yearly turnover of approximately SEK 90 billion. The cooperative retail companies that own it are Sweden’s KF, Denmark’s FDB, and Norway’s Coop NKL.

Coop Norden, a leading Scandinavian retail chain, owned by three major cooperative retail companies, was facing significant operational inefficiencies due to a lack of a centralized system to report, assign, and update technical issues. This resulted in increased downtime, decreased productivity, and an unfavorable working environment.

Challenge

The main challenge for Coop Norden was the lack of a centralized, accessible, and efficient system to handle technical issues. This led to delays in addressing these issues, resulting in extended downtime, loss of productivity, and an overall drop in operational efficiency. 

Solution

Leaware developed an intranet application using ASP.NET MVC for Coop Norden to report, assign, and update technical issues. The application was designed to be accessible on both Mac IOS and Windows platforms, ensuring availability for all users within the organization, regardless of their preferred operating system.

The implementation of the intranet application provided several benefits:

Results

Post-implementation of the intranet application, Coop Norden experienced a marked improvement in the management of technical issues. There was a significant reduction in the resolution time of these issues, leading to a 25% increase in operational efficiency. This also resulted in an improvement in employee satisfaction, owing to a more structured and efficient problem-solving approach.

Lessons Learnt
