Background
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CTO of an IT services company based in the UK (with offices in Poland) that develops web applications for worldwide clients.
Opportunity / Challenge
For what projects/services did your company hire Leaware, and what were your goals?
We were looking for extra help for developing a web application for a B2B company who was a client of ours, we needed to work with a trustworthy IT services company with experience, we needed to share some private information that only a reliable company could handle with us.
Solution
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We found Leaware in Clutch and we checked their expertise and reviews, their portfolio was a good indicator for us. They had all the necessary people and tools to get this job done.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We started talking about what we needed to show in the web application, also how the users could easily share their information to other members and keep it private while using it. They started the approach with a method called Jobs to be done while working on the general idea and later the interface, they also had a nice team that was applying the Scrum method when the main steps and goals were set up.
How many people from the vendor’s team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Leaware provided us with a team of 4 people, a senior developer, a senior software consultant and two mid Developers.
Results & Feedback
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We had the application ready for the time that was estimated for delivery and the functionalities were working optimal, the client was satisfied with the API integration of the application with other devices and cloud storage
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We worked with Agile environment, Scrum. The scope of work was completed in a specific timeframe. Also, with Jira as our project management tool and Bitbucket.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Experience and constant communication, they finished earlier the tasks that were set for specific dates, they were fast and the quality was excellent. They helped us also to discover what really should we build with Jobs to be done methodology.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not really, the only problem was not having worked with them before, we are happy with the results.
